DIOR Cruise Show 2020

[vc_row content_width="grid" animate_rounded_tab="yes" ommntess="”.vc_custom_1466520446027{padding-top:"][vc_column width="2/3"][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text] DIOR Cruise Show 2020 [/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height="25px"][vc_column_text] Boutique Souk was honoured to be selected by Dior to create events for their iconic Cruise Show in Marrakech in April 2019. Working closely with the marketing team, we created lunch and dinner events in special locations in Marrakech for their VIP guests invited to the show. Respecting the themes of artisanal work and  'common ground'  Boutique Souk worked with with local artisans and women's fair trade co-operatives in Fes to  create tablescapes incorporating hand embroidered traditional table cloths, napkins made of cactus silk and an array of hand made pottery plates and vases.  All floral decoration was local and seasonal including spring Mimosa and olive branch and herbs cut from nearby trees and fields. Amanjena 40th Birthday

Festivities included an Arabian Nights party, a tented desert rave lunch, an elegant black tie candlelit dinner and a relaxed pool party brunch. Saturday’s party included a flying carpet photo-booth. Fleur Cooper 40th Birthday

The birthday girl being none other than London events doyenne Fleur Cooper of Lillingston Events. Fleur briefed us over breakfast at the Ivy Garden, Chelsea and we got straight to work planning the most dream like of tablescapes for the wow factor setting of the gardens at La Mamounia, Marrakech. The dining table was laden with pink and red bougainvillea to match the city walls with local roses. As well as a VIP visit to the Majorelle Gardens and the private house of Yves Saint Laurent, Villa Oasis, the group enjoyed an adventurous trip to the desert with a camel trek and tented dinner and a rooftop Riad supper in the medina. 40th Birthday Art Deco

Before dinner, guests enjoyed champagne with a Jazz band and a thrilling synchronised swimmer show. The Art Deco monochrome dining room was filled with orchids, anemones and roses, candles and crystal chandeliers and monogrammed napkins marked the place settings. Guests were whisked by horse and carriage to a 1920's New York street scene with vintage Rolls Royce's into a working barber shop where they took the staff door up a fire-escape to arrive into a spectacular speakeasy complete with a swing band, casino tables, tap dancers and show-girls. Arabian Nights Birthday Party

Guests arrived by a 100 torchbearer lined pool, surrounded by drummers, fire-eaters, snake charmers and camels to a custom built transparent dining tent in a palm filled garden filled with 1000 open fires. Clinique x Marrakech

To celebrate the launch of their new range of colour products including delicious lipsticks and glosses in rich reds and pinks, Clinique flew in beauty bloggers and social media influencers from around the world to the red city of Marrakech. We created a beautiful Arabian Nights themed tented dinner in a Moorish Kasbah and turned everything pink, orange and silver (the famous brand colours) for the night. Floating trays of rose heads, pom pom adorned camels,  underplates, table runners, poufs, cushions, tea glasses, cocktails and even French tartlet and Macaron desserts.
